All electronic scrap can be divided into 4 categories. Let’s look at each in order.
1. Computer scrap
The most valuable computer scrap is the central processing units. In second place in terms of value are RAM modules. Also accepted as electronic scrap are motherboards and any other computer boards, including hard drive boards, video and sound cards. Old boards are the most valued, but new ones are not too much inferior in price.
2. Phone crowbar
Both push-button phones and smartphones are accepted as electronic scrap, but without batteries and back covers. At the same time, it is old phones with one SIM card that are especially valued. But telephone boards, including smartphone boards, are much more expensive.
3. Boards
Circuit boards are a broad category of electronic scrap, which can include more than a dozen categories. The boards made from old devices are the most valued. Boards from monitors and TVs are even less valued.
4. Scrap electrical equipment
And finally, the 4th category is the most numerous, which includes an endless variety of electrical appliances from microwave ovens and toasters to system units and televisions. Equipment in a plastic case is valued the least, while devices in a metal case and system units containing boards are valued more.
